Barnes & Nobles Booksellers in Boulder presents:
Wonders of the West by Nadim Yared; a photographic expression of the majestic American West.
Boulder, CO, April 16th 2006, Born in Lebanon, a beautiful country that was torn by a 17-year war, Nadim Yared turns to photography as a way to escape political strife in his homeland. In his 20’s Yared moves to Cyprus, then to the city of lights, Paris; and drives all over Europe, capturing with his camera the charming and romantic sites that Europe can offer.
His engineering career with international companies and his love for exotic vacations led him to travel around the world to places like India, Australia and the Caribbean Islands, bringing home the essence of these places in form of fine art photography.
In his 30’s Yared moves to Utah, then to Colorado. From all the places Yared visited, nothing inspired his photography the way the West American Majestic sceneries and lights did! His photography translates his deep emotions, as well as the transience of the moment and the light confronted to the immensity and eternity of the landscape. He took his photography to the next level capturing the contrast of colors and lights and playing with the form of shapes to build his photographic collection of Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Wyoming and New Mexico. In March, Yared attended a workshop in Death Valley, California with the Master of Landscape Photography David Munch. Death Valley is a haven for landscape photographers. It is a land of extremes, one of the hottest and driest places on Earth. It is also a land of subtle beauties and offers the most amazing and uncommon landscapes. Yared captured some of the landscapes and will release his new amazing Death Valley artwork in this exhibit.
Yared’s West American photographic collection will be exhibited during the months of May 2006 at Barnes & Noble Booksellers, Crossroads Commons, 2915 Pearl Street, Boulder, CO 80301, 303-442-1665. A reception to meet the artist will be held on Tuesday May 2nd from 5:30-7pm. This exhibit is organized by the Boulder County Arts Alliance.
