Nadim Yared’s Photography exhibit at the Alliance Française:

Beirut, Paris, Denver: an inspirational Journey through time.

Denver, CO, November 16^th 2005, The photographic Journey of Nadim Yared started in the 1970’s in Lebanon, Middle East. This country infamous for its 20 years long war and political challenges hides another much more fascinating facet. Home for the Phoenicians that invented the alphabet and sailed the Mediterranean Sea, the Roman Empire, the Arab and Turk invasions and the French mandate, Lebanon’s culture is rich with ancient history and international influence.

The Lebanese total area is 10,452 sq km, it is about 0.7 times the size of Connecticut. Its landscape is very diverse including snowy mountains, fertile plains and a long and colorful coastline. Vineyards, olive and citrus plantations, and ancient Cedar Tree forests are part of the Lebanese Landmarks.

As a way to escape political strife in his homeland, Yared turned to photography, developing a deep desire to see and project the beauty of our world outside of traditional boundaries, he narrates this other facet of Lebanon in form of fine art photography representing its ancient historical sites, its traditional old villages, its golden seashore, and other typical landscapes.

Yared’s Journey continues in Europe in the 1990’s. He settles in the city of lights, Paris; and drives all over France and Europe to capture with his camera the magnificent sites, architecture and lighting that Europe can offer.

His Journey proceeds to Denver in the 2000’s, where he discovers the West American Majestic sceneries of Colorado, Utah, Arizona… His photography of these amazing places translates his deep emotions and the transience of the moment and the light confronted to the immensity and eternity of its landscapes.

Yared’s photographic journey collection will be exhibited at the Alliance Française de Denver, 571 Galapago Street, Denver, CO 80204-5032  USA, www.afdenver.org, during the months of January and February 2006. A reception to meet the artist will be held on February 3^rd 6-9pm as part of the Santa Fe Art Walk.
