Early April, in the Island in the Sky, Canyonlands National Park, a storm was preparing, and the sun had already set behind the clouds. This was the perfect setup for a striking photo of the white rim, that you can see below.
If you have the time, you can either drive on a 4x4 to the white rim below, for a 2-day tour (100+ miles off-road), or you can even bike it if you are a serious backpacker.
