Yellowstone is a phenomenal wildlife destination in North America. In a usual 3-day trip to this park, an average family would encounter deers, elks, mooses, bisons, coyotes, and many others.
After sunset, deers head down to the prairies, rivers and lakes. I used a long lens in order not to disturb the animals. The light was very low, so I needed to balance between a long exposure time risking to blur the animal, or use a shallow depth of field by opening the diaphragm of the lens.
I chose the latter, and ensured that most elements in this picture are in the same focal plane.
